July 8, 2008.  Yea!  A small but strong swell from Bertha will arrive at our beaches overnight Thursday.  Winds will be light S/SW turning more SE in the afternoon and generally staying below 10 knots through the weekend.   SURF:  Late Thursday afternoon we may start seeing a trickle of Bertha swell, but Friday looks to be the day.  Should be chest high at least.  Sat and Sunday will see solid waist to chest.  DIVE:  Dive before Friday!  The energy from Bertha's swell may stir up the bottom, especially at the reefs close to the beach.  South beaches may be less affected..
